Hail
This afternoon I couldn’t take it anymore. I had to get out on my bike. It didn’t look like rain. But once I left Alameda Park, 6 miles north of here, there was THUNDER! LIGHTENING! And the rain started coming down. Then it started HAILING! I couldn’t believe it. I rode through the hail for a mile before I came to the tunnel under Paseo del Norte, and hung out there for 20 minutes listening to NPR. The rain and hail gradually stopped and I made it home, giddy with excitement.
Monsoon Season
It’s monsoon season. We have hot sunny days – and then around 4:30 it starts getting cloudy and the rains come. At 7:00, it clears up again.

Deb loves to make books. Here are two she folded for me to write or draw in! They’re both made out of one piece of paper, folded. The one on top is a Turkish Map fold, and you can watch how it’s done here. The one on the bottom is a Petal Book!
