Haircut House Call
Our favorite hair stylist, Jordan, CAME TO OUR HOUSE today and cut our hair by the window. No color this time and no blow-dry. It had been nine months since I’d seen her.

Hail
This afternoon I couldn’t take it anymore. I had to get out on my bike. It didn’t look like rain. But once I left Alameda Park, 6 miles north of here, there was THUNDER! LIGHTENING! And the rain started coming down. Then it started HAILING! I couldn’t believe it. I rode through the hail for a mile before I came to the tunnel under Paseo del Norte, and hung out there for 20 minutes listening to NPR. The rain and hail gradually stopped and I made it home, giddy with excitement.
Monsoon Season
It’s monsoon season. We have hot sunny days – and then around 4:30 it starts getting cloudy and the rains come. At 7:00, it clears up again.
In the Mail
Deb loves to make books. Here are two she folded for me to write or draw in! They’re both made out of one piece of paper, folded. The one on top is a Turkish Map fold, and you can watch how it’s done here. The one on the bottom is a Petal Book!
Totally Organic
Lyrics
It’s a shoe.
It’s totally organic.
It’s a boat.
And that’s organic, too.
It’s dessert.
It’s totally organic.
It’s a hat.
And that’s organic, too.

Song #3
wow, no thank you.
I’m reading this book, wow, no thank you. by Samantha Irby and enjoying it so much. “The exposure of your deepest self … is what real writing demands.” This book is brave like that, but funny as well! I love the title itself so much that I wrote a little song:

Lurking in my iPad
I am still working for a gallery in San Francisco called FOG, and one of my favorite jobs is designing the posters each month.
